General Comment:
Adherence to city standard specifications, ordinances, and inspection processes is mandatory, including but not limited to:
? Immediate notification to the City of Denton of an emergency repair in progress, provided by online form, here: http://tiny.cc/2tr0vz and formal application for ROW permit within 48 hours of commencement of the emergency repair. Expedited review and fees may apply.
? Request Inspections online from your e-TRAKiT dashboard. A link to e-TRAKiT and information on required inspections are available in the ROW Permit Resources at https://www.cityofdenton.com/937/Right-of-Way-Permits
? It is mandatory to visibly spot city utility lines within 10ft of an excavation or bore prior to commencing work. All underground facilities/bores shall maintain a minimum separation of 24 inches from city utility lines and a minimum depth of 36 inches below top of curb per city code section 25-80, and the street shall be backfilled within 7 days of excavation.
? Traffic control devices are to be removed within 3 days of substantial completion of the emergency repair.
? Restoration of a work site to its original condition within 20 business days from substantial completion of the emergency repair, and prior to permit expiration.
Revisions:
Additional plan review and written acceptance from the City of Denton Public Works Inspections Division will be required prior to proceeding with work beyond the original construction plan and/or traffic control plans. Attach additional/revised documents to e-TRAKiT for review as needed and Public Works Inspection will be automatically notified and respond within the same timeframe allotted for the original review task (2 – 10 business days).
