• Public Works Inspections confirms receiving notice of work in TxDOT ROW, within City of Denton limits.

General Comment:
Adherence to City Standard Specifications, Ordinances, and inspection processes is required for ROW construction within the City of Denton, including but not limited to:
• For work limited to TxDOT ROW, only a ROW Final Inspection is required from the City Public Works Inspector. Request a ROW Final Inspection online from your e-TRAKiT dashboard once work is complete, and prior to the permit expiration date. A link to e-TRAKiT and information on required inspections are available in the ROW permit resources at https://www.cityofdenton.com/937/Right-of-Way-Permits
• Excavation/bore work within 4ft of high-risk utility lines (12” or larger water & sewer mains) may only occur from 8:00am – 4:00pm Mon-Thurs, and 8:00am-12:00pm Fridays. It is also mandatory to visibly spot high-risk city utility lines. Work in other areas of the ROW is permissible from 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays.
• All underground facilities/bores are to maintain a minimum separation of 24 inches from city utility lines.
Extension Requests:
• If requested by a Utility/Contractor in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the current permit expiration date by attaching a complete Extension Request form to e-TRAKiT for review, extension(s) to a permit expiration date may be granted for a period reasonable to complete all outstanding work. *
Revisions:
• Additional plan review and written acceptance from the City of Denton Public Works Inspections Division will be required prior to proceeding with work beyond the original construction plan and/or traffic control plans. *
*Public Works Inspection will be automatically notified when documents are successfully attached in e-TRAKiT for review.
